I am taking an image from the system, displaying it in a window and modifying it. Now, i need to save that modified image(jpeg, bmp, png) in some other location within the system. All i have is the CGContextRef and the CGImageRef( the image drawn on that context ). How to save this in a FILE?

Open Xcode, go to the documentation browser window, select the Core Ref library and "full-text" search, type "image save" in the search field.

P.S.: From an engineer I tend to expect he did his homework and at least browsed over the XXX Guide series, in this case the "Introduction to Quartz 2D Programming Guide" before requiring others to look the concrete answer up and rewriting the documentation for his convenience.
