We're having a rather odd problem and I'm not sure what to do next.
We just installed a room full of iMac G5s (17") in one of our
classrooms. I use Radmind to maintain our OS X Macs, so I just gave
the iMac G5s the same image that their predecessors (iMac G4 17")
had. That image is currently running off a 10.3.7 base.
Printing in our computer classrooms is done through a central print
server that accepts jobs via CUPS. I have an IP printer set up on
this image for the printer in the classroom. Whenever a user tries
to print, an error message is generated in the printer's status
window:
"Remote host did not accept control file (1)"
The print server shows no record of communication from the G5s when
this happens.
An iMac G4 using the exact same configuration works just fine.
