Re: Post-action to set openLdap

The best way to accomplish what you are looking for is to set option 95 of the DHCP server to hand out the LDAP server. Contact me directly if you have more questions or would like to know how to implement this on a Novell server. My counterpart was able to get that to work (very difficult). If you are handing out DHCP on a Mac OS X Server then just set the LDAP information there. Then you need to go to the client "image" and set in Directory Services to use the DHCP supplied LDAP.

Hi,
Using netrestore, I want to set up different labs in different schools, each
school has it's own Open Directory server, but the same image will work for
all schools.
Is there a way to add to the "set computer name" script a function of also
setting the open ldap server IP address from the same .csv file.

I found that the information is saved "nested" in two .plist files, if it
was not nested then a simple "defaults write" command would do that. What I
am looking for specifically is an shell command that can replace a string of
text in a file, or if you know of another way!

Is that possible? Help..

Thanks
