I have done some more testing and found
out that the local administrator account cannot print but root can. This makes
me think that it might be a permissions issue. Does anyone know what
permissions to check? I think I made a bad move when I got rid of the receipts folder
to save space on my image, as I am not allowed to run the check permissions
command. It states that there are no valid packages. Travis Garrison Data Storage Systems Administrator From:

[mailto:client-management-bounces+garrisot=email@hidden] On Behalf Of I am having a very weird problem with printing on OSX
10.4.8. I use AdmitMac to print to a windows print server. I cannot print from
any of our freshly built macs, but any student can. I currently have 10.4.8 servers running Open Directory in the
Magic Triangle arrangement with all user authentication running from Active
Directory. I can print to any printer from my office, which has not been
rebuilt and is running 10.4.8. I am an administrator on all macs. I have tried – Removing Administrative access from my account Assigning the student policies though Workgroup Manager to
my account Deleting and reading all the printers Removing all policies from my account I cannot think of anything else to try, I do have
permissions to these printers on the windows print server. Travis Garrison Data Storage Systems Administrator |
