Given the wonders of Automator and Applescript and unix scripting, I’m thinking there must be a way to do this.
As a scheduled item, I want to have ARD refresh all of the scanners I’ve set up, and add any Macs it finds to the “All Computers” list. We have a standard naming convention and a standard local admin account on every Mac, so I could write these items into the script.
Anyone have any ideas on how this could be done? A cursory browse of the Automator actions and Applescript dictionary for ARD didn’t give me much to go on. Unfortunately, the ‘record script’ feature in Applescript Editor wasn’t any help either.
