I'm trying to add permissions for Treasure Hunt (an old classic app)
to some workgroups, but it won't go. I hit the add button, but it
doesn't add. Other classic apps work as expected. does anyone have an
idea of why, or a work-around for this?

Hi Matt,

I try to avoid Classic apps, but as you know that's not always an option. When I have come across this type of situation it is usually caused by the developer using the same creator code for more than one application. So Workgroup Manager only "sees" the first one added. My workaround has been to use ResEdit to change the creator code on one of the apps. Not nearly as daunting as it sounds, just open ResEdit File>Get Info on the application and change the code ( usually just change the last character slightly), save your changes. Then try to add the application again. Unfortunately you will also have to copy this edited app to your workstations.

Get ResEdit here: http://www.mac.org/utilities/resedit/

Hope this helps.
