I'd like to know more about what system you are using and what problems you
are seeing.
The only thing we've seen is certain pdf-on-the-fly stopped working in
Destiny (library software) and it was fixed by upgrading to Acrobat 8.1.1
(7.0.x worked for most pdfs but not these "on the fly" types.)
