More info on managing Firefox...
A way to install extensions for all users rather than per user...
Firefox extension for all users
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_arguments#For_Linux_and_Mac_OS_X_user
s (line wrapped, sorry - note I actually tried this and it works but the
syntax was subtle - the right "dash" and note no spaces in the switch
section)
/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -install-global-extension
"<path to>/<name of>.xpi"
Done right, Firefox doesn't even launch on the user screen. I've not done it
with ARD yet but that's on my radar....
OR
Install normally and then move from profile's extension folder to
application extension folder with sane permissions (r/w to change??
Maybe/maybe not)

.html
Might be buggy with some extensions. I trying the systemproxy-0.2.xpi per
start of this thread and for it that extension this method also works. I
just don't know if it means the r or r/w permissions are related to changing
the setting or not. News forthcoming!
