bundle type and creator?

I'm trying to create a iTunes Visual Plugin. I've downloaded the SDK and the examples.
I read the documentation the the bundle needs to be 'hvpl' and creator 'hook' (to get the plugin icon). I did that selecting the bundle in the target section of the Groups & Files and then changing it's properties in the inspector.
When I build I get the bundle, but with a blank sheet as icon, and the finder info says it's kind is iTunes Visual Plugin.
What am I doing wrong that I can't get a iTunes plugin icon? is there other way to set the kind & creator of the bundle? (not just the plist?)
