I know some og you are thinking "Hey, this is probably a problem with Photoshop" but it isn't : if I save the original (RGB converted) GIF to a TIFF image, the colors are perfect when I draw the image in my app and when I look at it in Preview !

This is, in fact, a bug with (apparently all versions) of Photoshop. Try opening that file in any app, even on other OS's, and you'll see that it's rendered darker than it should be. The solution is to not use PNG. Use TIFF instead, or, if you absolutely must have PNG's, save a copy as a PSD and use Preview to convert them. You could also set up a quick Finder Plug-in via Automator to convert your images to PNG's.
