_NSGetCarbonMenu useage

Hi!

I'm trying to use _NSGetCarbonMenu but all I get is a crash. I'm trying to use the function from my window controller class. Here's what I added:

#import <Carbon/Carbon.h>

extern MenuRef _NSGetCarbonMenu( NSMenu *menu);

...
...

- (void)SomeFunction
{
NSMenu* menu = [NSApp menu];
MenuRef mr = _NSGetCarbonMenu( menu ); //crashes here
}

Have I forgot something?
