Good obervation Erik, although I get the same result with heightOfRow set to 500 and 1, the critical point is still 63632 rows.

Anyway, perhaps some dangerous casting is going on somewhere (possibly even in the frameworks), and a table that tall results in an address calculation with a negative offset or something else unsafe.
