Re: $HOME not set?



I think it would be safe to wager that the majority of accounts on a MacOS X
computer do not have home directories.

Only those accounts that have been set up for a person will have a home
directory. All other accounts, such as windowserver, postfix, nobody, and
root have no home directory.
