I don't know what you're doing wrong, but I strongly suggest re-
reading the "Performing Privileged Operations with Authorization
Services" document, and paying particular attention to the flow of
control between the application and a helper utility that it runs. I
also recommend taking a look at the appropriate sample code.
Trying to "run a shell script as root" using
AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges sounds like a bad idea, since a
shell script cannot accept an authorization reference from the host
application and verify that the host application is allowed to be
asking the script to perform the requested privileged operation.
