Re: Cocoa developer needed in Texas



I always wonder why, job posters want Cocoa Developers, with strong C+ + background. As far as I know, if you really want to build Applications using Cocoa, you have to use Objective-C and not C++.

In my opinion, this is a huge discrepancy . I think, if you really want Cocoa there's no way around Objective-C.

Or am I missing something here?

- 2 years of experience coding with Cocoa and C++ on Mac OS X, at least
one year professionally
- Must be an excellent hands-on implementer with strong object oriented
C++ programming skills
- Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills with ability

- Have a strong passion for building cutting-edge Mac applications in a
team of OS internals experts
- Knowledge of internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP and HTTPS
- Familiarity with the x86 and PowerPC architectures including virtual

- Ability to tackle complex software issues such as deadlocks and
exceptions using gdb
- Cross-platform development experience
