Re: Cocoa developer needed in Texas

I always wonder why, job posters want Cocoa Developers, with strong C++ background. As far as I know, if you really want to build Applications using Cocoa, you have to use Objective-C and not C++.

In my opinion, this is a huge discrepancy . I think, if you really want Cocoa there's no way around Objective-C.

Or am I missing something here?

Possibilities:
1) They are converting some project from C++ to something sane.
2) They have a cross-platform product with C++ as the model and want to use Cocoa as the Mac interface, but keep the heart in C++ for some other OS.
3) Clueless HR types - it's the last entry in their list of buzzwords.
