this is it... I moderate that list, and there isn't anything much traffic wise there..

if you want to verify it is the best way, or have trouble implementing it.. that's the list to post to.

I want to generate a drop down that allows the user to choose the filetypes and or the metadata items much like the finder search has.

I'm guessing I'm just missing the pertinent documentation. A nudge in the right direction would be appreciated.
