This has been covered to death on Carbon-Dev if you
wish to pursue it.
I believe your best course of action would be to
emulate the
techniques used in WebKit or Firefox; these are open
source apps so
you can look through the code freely.
Another good approach is to install the components
from Perian (http://perian.org/) and just use QT to
access the flash content. This might be a lot simpler.
Certainly, it was for me as an end-user.
Perian plays Flash Video (flv), not Flash animations (swf).
