NSTextView text color from Interface Builder does not stick?

Does anybody know why the Text Color attribute set in Interface Builder does not stick but the Background Color attribute DOES stick for NSTextView (on Tiger ) I set the text green and the background black, but the text color just does not stay. Am I missing something? Does this have to be done programatically only? Is it a bug?
