I don't know PO5 uses similar algorithms as GMG but it works similarely.

Right.

I am working on a case where I am using this iterative feature to improve
the proofing between a Heildelberg QuickMaster DI press to an Epson 4000
Ultrachome. After two iterations, the average DeltaE is down from 2.10 to
1.61 to 1.55. I am sure what will I actually gain by additional iterations
but 1.55 is quite acceptable, I would think.

PO5's Profile editor has a Statistics module that can be used to directly
compare two profiles, much like MeasureTool. I don't see the need to
basICColor Control?
