Those instructions for deleting ColorSync related prefs are the same I posted to this list about a year ago. I posted them in case anyone was curious how to toss prefs, not because they addressed a specific issue. The comments on the page you posted do not lead me to believe that there's any verifiable software bug that this fixes...what it does is reset your system to a known factory state as it was before the user or any apps had a chance to change settings.
