Weird. I was under the impression that Samsung was not using
"LumiLEDs" type
of technology but just white LEDs. That seems like good news. I
gather also
that the blacks are rather deep in comparison with CCFL backlights.
Strange that the reviewer states:
An important thing to consider for most users is how a screen will
perform out
of the box and with some basic manual adjustments. Since most
users won't have
access to hardware colorimeter tools, it is important to
understand how the
screen is going to perform in terms of colour accuracy for the
average user.
But earlier states:
The screen is packaged with Samsung's Natural Color Expert
software and a
Samsung branded X-rite i1 (Eye-One) Display 2 colorimeter.
And - I thought they were bundling the XL20 with the Huey – specially
filtered to the LEDs?
