Hello list, Has anybody heard, that some RGB printer drivers for Mac OS X can only work with 6 Bit (in words six !!) per channel ?

At tests with a colleague, I have significantly better profiling results on driving an A3 photoprinter from the PC instead from the Mac OS X 10.4.11.

I´m still cross checking the results with the printer vendor (which is one of the leading one in the area of A3 photo printers). so I can´t post the name, model and media at the moment...
