I fetched it myself, to replace a DOA unit that was transport damaged.
This is how and why I know what happens when they get bashed.
That first unit, to be fair, didn't have the lock fitted yet.

Let's be fair to Gretag/Xrite, they are learning, as the addition of
the lock shows. But my engineer's judgement is still that this device
should not be moved unnecessarily. The DTP70 seems much more robust,
and I plan to continue to use that when consultancy imperatives force
me to cart a scanning spectro with me.
