CS2 and CS3 should be producing identical conversions. Very little in
the way of color management has changed in CS3. Both versions equally
support v2 and v4 profiles.
Emails with attachments to listserves usually get canned, for good
reason. There are several thousand people subscribed to this list, so
I'd suggest making them available on an idisk or put them on a web
server and provide a link.
