Mike,
Terry is right, this business of differences among instruments almost
defeats the conscientious efforts and care that go into color management in
the first place. In my own practice, I always have to be on the lookout for
those places where I get caught between inter-instrument (SpectroEye vs
Spectroscan vs iCcolor vs EyeOne) or, more aptly, inter-manufacturers
differences (SpectroEye vs 530 vs DTP70 vs Techkon). That's not easy to sort
but it's a reality nevertheless.
Terry, I wasn't aware that NetProfiler was only correcting for agreement
with the 'master' instrument of each kind? That is not how I was introduced
to the service by GretagMacbeth at the time.
