often it helps just installing again the latest HASP4 USB drivers
for MacOS X from www.aladdin.com (no specific drivers for 10.5
published, which means for me, that the existing drivers should work
fine on 10.5).
That's true for many 3rd-party plug-ins for a variety of applications.
After a trial migration to Leopard for After Effects CS3 (onto a new
Mac Pro to improve rendering) we've found re-installation does wonders.
