instance, the built-in color conversion tool doesn't have a rendering intent selection option
Because the RI is coming from the profile's default RI. Weird but that's the way it is.
I don't think this is accurate, Roger. I believe the Color Convert
tool uses Relative Colorimetric all the time.

Not true, you can select the rendering intent in pdfColorConvert. You would
also use your device link profile as your source profile.
