I didnt reference actual price but FYI, the LaCie costs several
hundred dollars more. And it includes accessories associated with
higher end displays, ie...hoods and application specific software.
I do find it unusual that a higher end monitor like the NEC 2690
wouldnt simply include the software and a hood like their neighbors
if this segment of the market does so.
If they need to recoup the cost of the software then simply price the
product accordingly like the others do.
