Well, as I mentioned, my evidence was only anecdotal as I haven't had time to dump the numbers and compare them.


I notice it visually when using Gretag's own display calibration software - the 3/4 tones just look mushy.

And if I use Quato's iColor software on dumb LCDs like the Apple Displays and then do an UGRA test they usually perform badly on gray balance in the two shadow values immediately above black.

Switch to a DTP94 and the problem goes away.

I read Derrick's comments on heat/noise with great interest. We have other people on the list who have experience of turning the output of the EyeOne Pro into monitor profiles - are they having to compensate or interpolate to get the EyeOne to deliver useful data from depths of the monitor gamut?
