Yep, did it yesterday, just follow
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Conceptual/KernelProgramming/build/chapter_18_section_3.html
It's pretty much accurate, except that you may have to copy some headers into appropriate places by hand to build kextsymboltool.
