This is probably off topic, but anyways. But I am getting desperate.
Is there a way for me to force an intel imac to run at a lower
frequency ?
My problem is that I am one of those energy sensitive persons that
can't use cell phones.
I have a brand new system sitting there that I can't use. Together
with a nice 23 inch display.
I am forced to work on a G4 laptop that can't use the new display.
I am reasonably sure that if I can lower the clock the problem will
go away.
Since the source isn't there, I can't fix it myself.
Please don't tell me to go and see a doctor. ( I personally am sure
microwaves is the next asbest
thing, but that discussion doesn't belong on this list )

open a terminal an navigate to the directory of SpeedIt
type sudo -s
You will be asked for the password
./install.sh
sysctrl -w speedit.setFID=0
and you have your iMac Core Duo running at 1.0 Ghz
