Err, I thought that it was, actually: the FreeBSD "birth time" (btime) is exposed by stat(1) ??

That's what happens when you import the tool and its man page without reading the latter more carefully. :-)

That's a bug and should be filed as such. We'll either correct the man page or the tool.
