Re: Firewire remote debugging

I am not sure what your goal is, but do you require firewire gdb? I am pretty happy using firewire kdp, which should (and I must admit, I am seeing some issues on my setup) simply require an "-arch i386" as argument to gdb

I have been trying remote debug a ppc kernel via firewire (rather than via ethernet) on an i386 machine, and have set up the firewiresdk, but am unable to get firewiregdb to work.  The instructions state:

"2. Within gdb load the proper plugin for the architecture and OS of the target Mac.
(gdb) load-plugin FireWirePluginPPC-Tiger"

However, the command "load-plugin" doesn't work when I run "gdb -arch ppc" on my intel machine.  "load-plugin" works when I'm running the native gdb...

Is there something that I can do here, or am I just stuck with debugging via ethernet?

Thanks!
