Serial Driver Bug?

Greetings all,

I apologize if this is not the proper place, but I think I have discovered
a bug in Mac OS X 10.2.6 with the serial driver when attempting to use my
mobile phone as an IrDA GPRS modem. I have reported the issue to Apple, but
I doubt that they will be much help seeming as how they aren't supporting
IrDA anymore. So I am humbly asking the kernel hackers for some assistance.

I can actually connect with the phone. I am able to ping hosts, and I was
able to even open up an FTP connection. However, SSH and pretty much any
other traffic breaks the IrDA connection and the following is spewed into
the system log:

I have no idea what this means. I have seen posts on the Apple forums, and
it appears others are having this issue. Does anyone have a clue as to what
might be causing this? Thanks in advance!
