2 machine debugging causes target machine to shutdown

Hey folks,

I'm trying to get 2-machine debugging to work correctly but am having difficulties with the target machine shutting down when I continue from gdb after hitting the NMI keys on the target.

One clue is that almost every time that I connect with gdb it appears that I get a series of NMIs. To clarify, here is the sequence of events:

I hit the NMI on the target
attach with gdb and gdb shows the target stopped with an NMI message
I hit continue
gdb breaks again with another NMI message
repeat this some number of times
if I try to set a breakpoint, more often than not the target will just shutdown when I continue
I'm guessing that it shutsdown when I put a breakpoint between the NMIs, if I happen to set the breakpoint after the series, it works (this is just a guess as to why it works sometimes)

Anyway, has anyone else seen this behavior?

Thanx,

Jason
