RE: Power Management for SCSI Controller

Hi Ethan,

Thank you very much for your help. Actrually, I turned on the terminal
application to look at the printing information. When I turned all
application off, My driver was working.

I have been doing this for two weeks. Now, I am happy. Thank you.

I still have one more question:
When OS detects that there are no events within certain time, it shut
off the Power. Then, in my setPowerOff thread, do I need to save
registers for my chip? I mean, if the os decides to turn off the power
for PCI device, that means all my SCSI Jobs are done( There is no
outstanding jobs or current job.) So, I think I don't need to do any
work when power off. When power is on, I reinitialize my chip. This is
working for my driver so far, but I am not sure if this is right.

Thanks,

Have a happy weekend,

Ivy
