Re: UpTime() in IOKit ?

Just curious... what will you use this timing information for?

A spin loop for the desired amount of time, a spin loop with a timeout after some amount of time, sleeping for a period of time, etc.?

Hello everybody!

For replacing the UpTime:
I use now following code (in kern/clock.h) now :

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
clock_get_time(&abstime);
absoluteTime_to_nanoseconds(abstime, &ns);
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

When I said re-write our drivers I meant the heart of our drivers, the
protocol we use to communicate with the DSP.
the rest will be re-written.
