Audio skips when pausing/playing in iTunes with 101.3

I just installed the 10.1.3 update yesterday, and like it overall (it does seem to speed things up a bit, especially app lauches and window moves seem a little quicker)

However, I noticed today that iTunes seems to skip backward (!) up to 3 seconds occasionally when I pause and start playing again when playing an MP3. It will do this repeatedly and with some regularity, especially at the beginning of a track. When it skips back, the timer doesn't reset. I don't hear any irregularity in CD playback except for maybe a 1 or 2 frame different, which I'd expect.

I ask this here (Darwin-Drivers list) as I wonder if this is indicative of some timing inaccuracy in 10.1.3 .
