	Actually, I'd bet compatibility isn't a concern.
	For the machine introduction time frame Apple's talking, I'm
betting they'll go to PCI Express, and drop parallel PCI so none of our
existing cards will work anyway. We'll need to, at least, respin the bus
interface section, so a new, intel only, driver won't be much of an
adder. Conversely, I'd be surprised to see PCI Express in a PPC product,
no point in adding it to a dead product line.

	On the same note, tried plugging a 5 volt PCI card into a new
G5? We keep some wintel boxes around with motherboards that support both
so we can do test in either type. To my knowledge, Apple hasn't done the
same, and I don't expect they'll start now.

	I hope they keep a parallel PCI slot or two, but I'm not betting
on it. Steve's in business to sell new hardware, backward compatibility
doesn't seem much of a concern to him.
