commandSleep Return Code

I am using commandSleep in my PCI driver and am looking at the return code from it - I always get a Zero (0) return code from the commandSleep call. My question is this: There are several return values identified for the commandSleep call. One of them is THREAD_TIMED_OUT. How can this return value from commandSleep get generated?

Thanks in advance.
