A few months ago there was a thread on this list entitled
Implement byteswapping in (overridden) IOApplePartitionScheme::read() and IOApplePartitionScheme::write()
initiated by a David Carter, and replied to by Dan Markarian amoung others.
I was about to embark on the same experiment as David, i.e write a PartitionScheme to access my Series 1 TiVo drive under Mac OS X
I was wondering if David is still on this list, or if someone can put me in contact with him, to see if he would share his source code.
It seems that a similar kext has also been written in the past by Joshua Graessley at Apple too, but so far I've not been able to contact him either.
