Very cool that it's choosing 75Hz for you. XFree86 on Darwin has had a
history of problems when exiting and trying to get back to the console.
I'm not sure exactly what that is.

Hmm. I was having that problem too, and what it turned out to be was
the mouse driver was reversing the mouse down and mouse up events for me.
So, I reversed the detection of these events in the XFree86 code for
x86. Are you using a normal PS2 mouse?

Yes, I think I'm one of the few people that actually runs Darwin/x86
nativly. Most developers use VPC, so expect Darwin/x86 to run better
on the fake machine than in reality. =)
