Oh, I understand that and I'm aware that there's a lot of OSX-only traffic on this Darwin list. I wasn't aware that there's no Java on Darwin. I jumped this thread in the middle and I obviously missed the point.

But to add something useful (maybe), have you looked at some of the compilable JDKs? Blackdown has this Linux package, maybe there's something for BSD to start from?
