Running Gnome

I've got XDarwin running using XAqua, and it works fine with twm, wmaker, and icewm. When I try to launch X using Gnome, if I have "exec gnome-session" in .xinitrc, X starts and then quits without Gnome getting started. I can launch Gnome from another window manager, but it doesn't seem quite right. I get a lot of "Gdk-warning: Locale not supported by C Library" messages. I also get a window that pops up accusing me of not using a Gnome-compliant window manager, even though both wmaker and icewm are supposed to be Gnome-compliant.

I'd appreciate some help understanding these errors.

Thanks,

Dan
