Re: starting sendmail as service on boot



Check /System/Library/StartupItems/Sendmail/Sendmail. The assumption is that the system will be used as a mail server if you're running sendmail. You can either modify your local copy of this script, or set
MAILSERVER=-YES-
in /etc/hostconfig.

This kind of question is fine for this list, since it's a Darwin issue; it's not specific to Mac OS X.

how do I make it run on startup?
where are the config files?
whare can I get info relavent to mac osx and sendmail?
