I cannot jump into this conclusion.

I've personally frustrated for this couple of months because things move
very slowly. My contributed documents have been relinquished in Darwin CVS
for a half of year, but I have nothing to be able to do with it. However I
don't bash Apple.

We should recall that the conjunction between a commercial OS and open
source community is a challenge. No one knows the answer. Apple has their
own logic as a company as well as we have. We cannot change Apple because
Apple has many customers, concerns with legal things, bra bra bra... The
separation of Apple Darwin and OpenDarwin might be an ad hoc solution but is
the projection of the reality.

Again, we cannot change Apple, but Apple may be going to change slowly. I
don't know making OpenDarwin is the right decision. I don't also know what
will happen in the future. What I'm able to tell is that the current
situation is so painful to both forks inside and outside Apple. From the
eyes of a lazy committer outside Apple, now at least, this is the only neat
thing to do.

Kogule, Ryo
