Re: boot server os X -> solaris

hi,

some things didn't work so well- still working out the specifics. i
never got bootparamd to answer properly, as far as i can tell.

i was only able to mount the cd over nfs, and use the built in tar to
create tar balls, then copy them over. any copying over nfs was a
disaster. because there were 601 directories in the Product directory,
i'm assuming that was the reason, even a simple ls from the client side
returned wacky whacked out results!! (i eventually created an install
server on the sun side, which i used to install another machine-
neither of them have cd's... older machines)...

i agree- booting from an ipod would be tits. didn't realize the blade
has firewire. would be nice...

now i REALLY have an interest- you and your g4 notebook.. it is nice,
fer sher.. but i could NOT break the stupid problems. i was snooping
and did not see an nfs call, so i don't believe it got that far. if
you know of another bootparamd i could use... that would be the next
step i think.

ok, now your turn to brainstorm.. i'm almost tired of it.
