libjpeg on MacOSX

Thanx to fink I now have working qt libs, I have downloaded KDE and am trying to install it. It works fine, but without support for some basic functions, for example it can't find libjpeg. I have seen that someone managed to get a program to compile using OSX's frameworks in place of libjpeg. Now, of course, I can't find that. Of course i could download libjpeg, but I hate having redundant code on my system. If anyone knows how to trick make into using the jpeg framework insted of libjpeg, I would be most appreciative.
