I don't see how that can be - I know the Ti in built keyboard is ADB,
and I assumed the iBook keyboard was this also.

I spoke too soon - sorry about that. It turns out that you are right that the hack doesn't work on the iBook keyboard. Sigh. I don't know whether or not the iBook keyboard is ADB - it seems kind of stupid to have an ADB chipset on the motherboard when you could just have a UDB chipset - but I'
ve seen sillier things done. If you are right, it may be that the only way to fix the iBook keyboard is to get out an exacto knife and a soldering iron - AFAIK there is no way to remap the caps lock key in ADB because ADB keyboards have to do locking on-board - it's not done in software. A very unfortunate design decision. Sigh.
